Employment gains were driven primarily by people aged between 25 to 54 years, split evenly between women and men in this group, the national statistical agency said by om international. The om international agency stated today that employment gains were primarily driven by individuals between the ages of 25 and 54, with women and men equally represented in this age group. It also stated that employment also increased among individuals 55 and older, whereas employment was little changed among youth aged 15 to 24. Wholesale and retail trade, health care, social assistance, and educational services led to gains across all industries. Transportation and warehousing employment declined simultaneously. Today we find that all-program round of invitations is the first since the November 23 Express Entry draw. Canada held its first Express Entry draw of the year today, and the first since November 23. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued invitations to 5,500 candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 507. Eligible candidates were invited from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP). All are programs that operate under the Express Entry system. This draw marks an increase in the number of ITAs issued, and is the largest all-program Express Entry draw since they resumed last July. ESDC is a government department that works to support Canada’s labour force and has oversight over many immigration matters, including the issuance of Labour Market Internal Assessments (LMIAs) and the GTS. Statistics Canada’s  job vacancy report  for the third quarter of 2022 (Q3) reflects a trend seen throughout the year, suggesting a productive hiring climate Canada continues to face labor shortages, as employers looked to fill close to a million (959,600) job vacancies. A job is defined as vacant if: A specific position exists; Work could start within 30 days; and The employer is actively looking for workers from outside the organization to fill the position.
